The Phoenix Knights are proud to announce the signings of Colton Seeman, Ryan Weick and Cody Call for the 2017-18 season.
Colton Seeman returns to the Knights after being with the organization from 2014-16. In parts of two seasons with the Knights, the Phoenix, AZ-native played in 63 games, contributing 17 goals and 15 assists. Last season, the 20-year-old forward played for the Hampton Roads Whalers of the USPHL Elite, where he scored 23 goals and 28 assists in 42 games.
Defenseman Ryan Weick brings both youth and size to the Knights blue line this season. Standing at 6’3”, 190 pounds, the 17-year-old Weick will be playing his first season of junior hockey in 2017-18. Before joining the Knights, he played in the Arizona Bobcats youth organization. Weick has participated in Main Camps the past two seasons with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
Cody Call will also be returning between the pipes for Phoenix this season, after spending part of the 2015-16 campaign with the team. Last season, the British Columbia-native split the year up north between the North West Junior Hockey League and the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. The 2017-18 season will be the fourth year of junior hockey for the 19-year-old goaltender.
Seeman, Weick and Call join forward Michael Caravella and defenseman Chase Gillaspie on the list of signings heading into the upcoming season. Phoenix will open the regular season on Friday, September 29 at AZ Ice Gilbert against the Valencia Flyers.
