The Phoenix Knights are proud to announce their affiliation with the Lake Erie Warriors of the National College Prospects Hockey League. The affiliation will allow the Knights to call players up to the WSHL from the Warriors, as well as send prospects to Lake Erie for development.
“(Lake Erie GM) Kyler Speice and I have known each other for a long time, and we are both in the business for the same reasons, player development and promotion. The opportunity to put players in a situation that gives them the best opportunity to develop and succeed is a shared goal. We are looking forward to the synergetic effects this creates with our organizations and players,” said Knights Head Coach and General Manager Mike Bowman.
The Warriors and Knights will work together this offseason to get ready for the 2016-17 season. Warriors GM Speice said, “We are extremely grateful to have the support of an organization like the Knights and Coach Bowman.”
The NCPHL is currently a 7-team Tier III junior hockey league based in the Northeast United States. Their goal is to get players ready for college hockey in the future. For more information about the Lake Erie Warriors, click here.
